Locally I don’t have access to the Aroy-D brand After reading the many reviews I can see that my first attempt, with Simple ( no guar) Native Forest and using a few spoonfuls of my Cocojune as the starter ( to avoid the expense of the probiotic capsule), was likely doomed. I decided, since every recipe of yours has become a favorite:) to give it a try. I have long wanted to try making my own plant- based yogurts but the fermentation aspects (leaving it unrefrigerated for so long!) caused angst. I was waiting to share my experience and this review till after allowing time after eating my coconut yogurt to be sure I didn’t notice any GI issues. Have you heard of this happening before? I’m open to all suggestions! I really miss my coconut yogurt with blackberries and pistachios for breakfast.☹️ I wasn’t making this yogurt last summer, so I’m wondering if that could be behind my sudden yogurt fails. For example, at 10am yesterday it was 88☏ but the real feel temp was 108° due to the humidity. I’m in South Carolina, and it has gotten very hot and excessively humid. It still separates and refuses to thicken. I’d already ordered more coconut cream, and thinking maybe the probiotics had expired, I got more of those, too. No amount of stirring or extra time to ferment and chill made a difference. It still tasted like my yogurt but separated horribly. The cream came from the same case of cans I’d been using, and the probiotics were from the same container. Nothing about my method or ingredients changed. > into my instant pot on yogurt setting usually for 18 hours > 1 can + 3 probiotics capsules (10 strains/60 billion) 2022, I’ve been happily making creamy, delicious coconut yogurt that I like more than that brand I mentioned.👆 I discovered Essential Organics 22% fat coconut cream with no other ingredients. I tried so many different brands of coconut cream/milk including the recommendations in this recipe. Then loosely cover the top (with a lid or plastic wrap), and refrigerate / let drain for several hours (draining liquid as needed) until desired thickness is reached!įor months I tried to make coconut yogurt that tasted like my favorite (but quite pricey) plain Cocoyo.

I believe Whole Foods 365 brand works so well because the flavor and consistency are nearly perfect. It’s important that you follow the recommendations of coconut milk brands I mention, otherwise I can’t guarantee good results. So if you try them this way, let me know how it goes in the comments! I have not tested this recipe in a yogurt maker or with a yogurt starter/culture.
